Good morning, my lovelies! I hope today finds you all happy and healthy. Now I know that last week I said it would be the good Captain and me doing recs, but unfortunately RL had other ideas and Captain Jezebel will be taking a break for a while. So please wish her well. You'll be missed, my good Captain!

In other news, Conversed has agreed to join TU and will be doings recs with us, starting today! So bid her a warm welcome! Let's see what we've come up with, alright?

Okay, so I have to admit, when Naelany asked me to do this...well, I might have panicked a little at first. Admittedly, I’ve been happily lost in Jewnicorn/TSN RPF for weeks now. If you have no idea what that is, well, look back to ArcadianMaggie’s guest rec from a few weeks back. I could go on and on about my love for that fandom, but I won’t. Instead, I’d like to focus on what keeps pulling me back in to the TwiFandom.

So I will admit, somewhat shamefully, that I really only read slash. I can’t help it, boy/girl pairings just haven’t been able to draw my attention for awhile, and there is SO MUCH GOOD SLASH in this fandom that, really? Why would I want to read anything else? And, while I still enjoy all the full length WIP’s that I’ve been following for months (and sometimes more than a year or two), what I’m really loving right now is the uprising of the drabble fic.

Good morning, everyone! Hope Spring has sprung wherever you live (well, I suppose it would be Fall, for the folks down-under, but never mind that). I'm afraid you'll find me all on my lonesome today, as Stolenxsanity has been feeling too poorly to do much more than sleep, so be sure to leave her get well wishes and plenty of love.

When Fiction Comes To Life

GAY ATHLETES

While reading If on a Winter’s Night by Touchstone67,   I get so caught up in the touching story of the human heart, of courage, friendship, dedication, and love, that I almost forget I am even reading slash.  (Though the red hot lemons soon remind me!)  If you haven’t been reading that story, I recommend you start, now!   Edward is a star basketball player who is paralyzed in a very unfortunate accident. His boyfriend, Jasper, is also a star athlete in Track & Field. He stays by Edward’s side through horrendously difficult times.  The story will have an impact on you!

I like it. On occasion, I write it.

Kink is a broad topic that encompasses all types of fetishes. They can fall anywhere on the scale of perceived sexual deviance. Some fetishes are actually kind of sweet, though I've been known to enjoy reading a few kinks that might make you blush. What I like about kink is that it occurs mixed with fluff, angst, humor, or any combination of the above.
