Tuesday's Best 10-25-2011

Good morning, my lovelies. I don't know about you, but we've had our first frost of the season this morning. Makes me want to make some hot cacao, and settle in under a blanket by the fire to read some wonderful fics. Plenty of ways to keep warm that way, right? ;-)

This week's Aradi's last time with us. I thank her for her wonderful contributions and support for the past year since she joined TwiSlash Unveiled. It's been a pleasure. Please leave her some love today. Connie79's going to be taking over for her in a couple of weeks, so bid her a warm welcome, as well.

For now, why don't we see what goodies Aradi and I have found for you? Remember your towels and fresh panties, and let's get to it.

Guest Rec - Avioleta

When I was first asked to write a guest rec for this week’s edition of TwiSlash Unveiled, I was excited.  How could I not be?

But my excitement quickly bled into concern.  Concern because I literally had absolutely no idea what I would rec.

For the last few months, I’ve been entirely absorbed with Slash/Backslash.  The contest produced 48 fantastic stories this year.  And, if you haven’t finished your SBS 3.0 reading, I encourage you to go now, run! What are you waiting for?

But I knew that, as a co-host and judge, I would have the opportunity to review my favorite entries on TU, leaving me with the same question of what to rec this week.

When Fiction Comes To Life

Fiction Really Did Come to Life!

Ever stop to think of all the great benefits of reading slash? I’m sure you’ve considered the obvious…… enjoyment, pleasure, relaxation, escape… Not in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine it also bringing friendship, meeting amazing people, satisfaction in knowing there are others like you, and making a positive impact on the world. But that is exactly what I found when fiction really did come to life during a recent weekend in Chicago.

Tuesday's Best 10-18-2011

Good morning, my lovelies! Hope y'all are enjoying the Fall weather and are gearing up - slowly - for the oncoming season. Now, what's better with the chill returning to the air than a sweet, hot bit of fiction? Not a hell of a lot, I say, so why don't we hurry along and see what Aradi and MizzDee have in store for you today. Remember to grab a towel and a fresh pair of panties!

Tuesday's Best 10-11-2011

My apologies for running a little late today, but I had a very important date with my newest niece that I simply could not ignore ;-). I'm here now, though, and I am looking forward to sharing what MizzDee and I found for you this week, so let's get right to it!

Guest Rec - Einfach_Mich

Photobucket

Anyone that knows me knows that I’m a fandom slut and I’ve been reading fan fiction for a long time. Slash is a large portion of the fan fiction that I read and I read it in a lot of fandoms. So, since I’m a big ol’ slut, I decided to give you sampler of some of my fave fics from several fandoms. Now, you Twilight fans do not dispair. I have two Twi fan fics in here, an AU and AH, because I can’t even control my slutty ways in one fandom. As for the others, I have a diverse group of naughty delights for you from several fandoms including DC Comics, Harry Potter, Star Trek, X-men movies and even a little TV show called The OC. Oh yeah, nothing is safe when it comes to my slashy cravings. Without further ado, BRING ON THE SLASH FIC!

Slash/Backslash 3.0 Winner's Cirlce

The Slash/Backslash 3.0 winners are in!
Judges: avioleta, Capricorn75, Conversed, and theladyingrey

When SBS began accepting entries on August 1, 2011, we had no idea what to expect; we were absolutely blown away by the results.  Although we had hoped for a strong turnout, we had no idea how much excitement this round of SBS would generate.

We received 48 fabulous entries by a wonderfully talented group of slash writers.

The caliber and quantity of entries was so high, that the judges had as much difficulty as our SBS readers in determining their favorites.

So, without further ado, here are this year’s Slash/Backslash winners:
