Tuesday's Best 7-3-2012

Good morning, my lovelies! Hope you're all doing well and enjoying the summer. I don't know about you, but I could do with a reading break, so why don't we see what Connie and I have in store for you today, shall we?

~*~*~*~*~*~

Hello my friends, last time I promised you I’d bring something new today, so here I am with a new story by a new author, at least for me.

A Little Distracted ‘s first slash is Jasper & Edward’s story  on Aunt Martha's Couch.

Do you still remember your first love? What it felt like to spend the summer with him/her just being together? Making out, watching porn for the first time? Well, if you don’t remember right now, this short o/s will bring you back to your highschool times.

Edward and Bella are BFFs on their way to Bella’s cheating ex boyfriend’s wedding in Forks.

Everyone was taking their seats and starting to quiet down for the ceremony, when the doors opened one more time and a tiny little woman with black spiky hair slipped in dragging a tall blond man behind her. Something about the man caught my attention.
They quickly headed to the opposite side of the church and took their seats a few rows in front of us. I could see his dirty blond wavy hair and just part of his cheek. Not enough to be sure, but just enough to remind me of the summer I turned 16 and met another boy with the same golden hair.

That moment send Edward into his memories, from that moment in time, those Summers together with the boy with golden hair.

"So, you came to help your aunt, huh?"
He shrugged, "I guess."
"You don't look too excited about it."
"I'm not. My parents have been fighting a lot lately, so they sent me up here to help Aunt Martha while they try to work on their marriage. I don't even know if they'll still be married when I get back."
I didn't know what to say. "That kind of sucks."
"Tell me about it."
"So you're going to be working at the video store?"

So, here comes the fun. Two 16 years old are left alone every Friday afternoon, one of them has unlimited access to the “Adult Section” of his aunt’s video store...what do you think is going to happen? ;)

My attention was only on the men. I was stroking hard and fast and could no longer stop the moans coming from my mouth. I heard a quiet moan from Jasper and cracked my eyes open enough to see that he was about to cum too, but he wasn't focused on the screen and he didn't have his eyes closed, he was looking at me.
This pushed me over the edge and I came loudly all over the inside of my swim trunks. I had never cum so hard or so much.

I have to say I love the way the author describes the boys first experiences with sex. They are both trying to understand what they feel and why they feel it. Questioning themselves but learning from each other at the same time.

"So, Edward, are you gay or bi?"
I almost choked on my lemonade. "What?"
"It's a simple question. Gay or bi?" He smiled and said, "Don't worry. I'm not freaked out or anything and I'm not going to tell anyone."
I focused my attention on the towel around my shoulders. "Umm… I don't know."
"It's simple. Do you prefer watching the women, the men, or both?"

Time goes by and after two summers spent together, the reality of their separation comes crashing down when Jasper has to leave Chicago and it’s not sure if he is coming back.

"I love you, Jazz."
I could hear the pain in his voice as he said, "I know. I love you, too. I'll never forget you, Edward." I heard a sniffle as he quickly got up and disappeared down the hall and out the door.
I laid there in bed crying for several hours. Mom came upstairs to find out why I never made it downstairs for breakfast. When she saw me, laying there in bed sobbing, she knew what was wrong. I didn't even have to tell her.
She sat down and ran her finger through my hair in that soothing way that only mothers can manage to pull off. "You loved him very much, didn't you?"
I nodded my head and cried harder.
"Honey there is an old saying that my grandmother used to tell me. If you love something let it go. If it comes back, it's yours. If it doesn't, it never was. I think this saying applies to people too. You have to let him go, Edward. You both have a lot of growing up to do. When the time is right, you will find someone to love that loves you back. It might be him or it might be someone else. You won't know until you get to that point. You just have to be patient and work hard to be the best person you can be in the meantime."

Now, in present time, are they finally ready to be together? The Architect and the photographer are not teenagers anymore, as grown up men...are they ready for each other?

I love this short story, I think Aunt Martha's Couch has everything we look forward in a fic. We have the sweet boys falling in love, the discovery, the excitement and down the road the adults facing their feelings and being able to explore them once again.

During the summer, they would send the kids to spend a week with one set of grandparents, and then a week with the other. During the two weeks of the summer that the kids were out of the house, Edward and Jasper would spend their afternoons on Aunt Martha's ratty old couch in their bedroom, watching movies and acting like teenagers.

Be prepared to feel like a teen again, go visit A Little Distracted profile and leave her some love.

I shall see you all next time.

Connie

I think it’s about time we had another lovely piece of BDSM on here, how about you? I found just such a thing in Prostrate in Prada, by our dear MsKathy.

Edward and Bella are married, and dabble in BDSM. They switch roles (and I’ll be the first to admit that though I love reading Edward’s POV, I wouldn’t be opposed to reading a day from Bella’s POV, either), and give each other what they need. This night, Edward comes home utterly frustrated due to work, only to remember he forgot something.

I considered removing the key as quietly as I could and slowly creeping back to my car, but that was no use. The guilt I'd feel at the lie would eat me up inside, and besides, I never lied to her. Ever.

I walked through the door, knowing she'd be waiting. Sure enough, the first thing I saw when the door was closed behind me was her beautiful body. Parts were covered with fabric and girly things I'd long forgotten the name of, but she was there in all her glory. Mine.

Her eyebrow arched. "Forgot?" The tiniest tinge of disappointment filtered through the single word, and I wanted to scream and swear in my defense, shielding myself from the guilt at letting her down. I wanted to shout, explain how fucking rough my day had been, my whole week, for that matter.

Instead, I nodded slowly, my eyes greeting the floor.

"You know what to do," she said.

What Edward has to do in order to atone for his mistake, you’ll have to read for yourself. Who knows, maybe if we all ask very nicely, MsKathy’ll honor us with another one-shot with these two. What do you think?
