Slash Guest Author Rec - Manyafandom

Hey Twi-Slashers,

Yay, it’s my turn! I’m so excited to be able to share with you all some stories that have me running to read as soon as they update and a few one-shots that I abso-fucking-lutely love! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Late Night Encounters by kyla713
Lonely ER doc Edward Cullen goes online one night to relieve some tension, never expecting to find what was awaiting him. AH/possibly some OOC. Rated M for a reason.

Why I love it: plain and simple it’s fucking hot. These two haven’t even met in person and have only seen each other once but that doesn’t keep it from steaming up my monitor. They self-please while talking and chatting with each other. Mere words from the other gets them all hot and bothered and off. Hot right? I’ll let you see for yourself.

The Art of Worship by greenpuma
“As a Cullen you were born with certain—endowments—that dispose you to success with women. But, there is a beauty in sex which, if you grew to appreciate it—an art which, if you commited to learning it—would bring you such pleasure as mortals never know"

Why I love it: Basically Big Daddy C schools his Virginward son in the art of pleasing a woman. I mean he’s not like in the room giving pointers but he offers simple rules that Edward follows to give his lady love ultimate pleasure. It’s only 3 chapters so far, but each has packed a punch.

Welcome to Hell by skypirateswoman
It's Bella Swan's first day at Forks High. This, of course, means all hell breaks loose – geek fights, sexual frustration, and really bad dick jokes ensue. AH/AU, slightly OOC, M for mature language. Written for the Googleward oneshot contest.

Why I love it: I’m a geek. I really freaking big one. In this lovely one-shot Bella & Edward are both geeks and have a geek-off. It’s awesome. The author packs in a ton of pop-culture/Geek references and even I had a hard time catching them all. It’s short and sweet and makes my little geeky heart all aflutter.

Throughout high school, the shy and over-burdened Edward Masen threw himself into work and raising his baby sister. He's always felt lucky just to be friends with track star Jasper Cullen. Now, he doesn't know if 'just friends' is enough. AH AU Slash.

Why I love it: It’s really freaking cute. It’s not overly angsty or the angst isn’t caused by Edward’s newfound feeling for Jasper. I like the characterizations of Jasper and Edward. The family set-up is unique and I honestly feel for Edward and Alice. It’s not super smutty yet, just the boys tentatively exploring each other with kissing and making out thrown in.

Times New Roman by kathy-rindhoops
University professor Edward Cullen is anything but cool: he’d rather read the dictionary than anything, he hasn’t had a girlfriend in years—and, he’s a pervert. Can new doctoral student Bella Swan bring him out of his slump? AH, AU, OOC.

Why I love it: Edward is flawed. He’s not perfect, dazzling handsome or even smooth or suave. He has an odd, if harmless fetish. I’ll let you discover it for yourself. He’s very aware of the world around him, even if he doesn’t understand it most of the time. He’s awkward and nervous and utterly taken with Bella. It very well written and I completely dig the style.

Something Special by Zombie’s Run This Town
AU/AH: Everything was fine until she stopped swinging in my backyard. I had to go to her. I had to be her friend. I just never thought love would factor in. For the 'When Love Was New' contest.

Why I love it: Because it’s completely original and unique. I have NEVER read a story like this in the fandom. But beyond its originality it’s completely sweet and endearing and heartbreaking. I truly feel for Bella and Edward in this story.

A Rough Start by itzMegan73
Overnight irresponsible Edward goes from bachelor to father of a 5 yr old. Meanwhile responsible, prepared Bella begins her first job as Kindergarten teacher at Forks Elementary. When irresponsible meets the epitome of responsible, sparks will fly!

Why I love it: Cause I do. No really this again is an imperfect Edward. He’s not rich or educated and doesn’t have a fabulous job. He’s real, an everyday average Joe. The story is very realistic: the tone, pacing and events. The UST is subtle and slow. The attraction between Edward and Bella smolders but they are so focused on other aspects that they don’t really have the time to pay attention to it.

The Cannabean Betrothal by ItzMegan73
Edward has immersed himself in the Cannabean way to ward off the hurt of a life-changing experience; but an unexpected betrothal teaches him how little he knows about life. There is no abuse in this story.

Why I love it: Again cause I do. I think the author is very talented and knows how to weave a story without rushing or dragging the story. I particularly like this story because the world and society she’s created is lush and has a depth to it not often found in fanfic. The romance and courtship of Edward and Bella is awkward and fumbling at times, but there are genuine affections between the pair. The slow build works here, if it was any faster the story would feel false. I’m not saying that the story drags, it doesn’t. There is an air of mystery surrounding Edward’s past that is revealed in small bits and pieces. I simply love it!
